The role

The role of a risk monitoring analyst is to work with the Senior Portfolio analyst to build and implement automated risk appetite monitoring and communication solutions for the business.

They provide hands-on development of infrastructure and analysis of risk measures across enterprise risk. This role also supports the monitoring of solutions and operations pioneered by the risk team. You will be required to have a fundamental level of quantitative and/or analytical skills along with the ability to understand the requirements in the context of the business and relevant stakeholders.

You will be working with tools such as SQL, R, Tableau, Databricks, and Snowflake to extract, transform and load large data sets to produce visualisations and charts providing insights to the Head of Risk Solutions and Operations. With access to the risk management infrastructure you’ll be integral to developing groundbreaking, innovative, and market-leading solutions for portfolio risk management.

This is a 6 month contract with an option to extend

Key responsibilities include

  • Partnering with the enterprise risk function to implement and monitor Prospa’s risk appetite across the business.
  • Update and validation of changes to delinquency metrics.
  • User Acceptance Testing of implementation of risk metrics across business platforms.
  • Ownership and management of RIS data solutions and infrastructure
  • Crafting and migration of existing risk monitoring infrastructure to state-of-the-art platforms
  • Consolidating and mapping end to end monitoring framework of Credit Risk monitoring against the risk appetite.
  • Ad hoc investigations/audits/ and validations of RIS measures.
  • Creation, validation, and managing existing reports across geographies and products.
  • Development of effective portfolio visualisations for monitoring.
  • Working side by side with credit risk quantitative analysts to ensure new score calibration, impact and recalculation post scorecard/servicing implementation.
  • Ownership, management, and troubleshooting as required of all existing and future monitoring solutions.
  • Engaging with teams to reconcile and validate outputs.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Fundamental knowledge of data manipulation.
  • Basic skill level in Python, SQL, R, or equivalent.
  • Experience with tableau or any visualisation tool is preferred but not required.
  • 1-2 years work experience in analytics.
