The Role
Your mission is to architect and lead the global talent acquisition strategy that powers our Product & Engineering organization. This role is differentiated by the opportunity to scale our technical teams during a period of unprecedented growth, directly influencing the innovation of our hyperscaler, StaaS, and Flash Storage products. As a key member of the leadership team, you will serve as a strategic advisor and partner to our most senior Product and Engineering executives. Your leadership will be instrumental in attracting and hiring the world-class talent required to fuel our next chapter and raise our bar for technical excellence.
What You'll Do
- Global Engineering Talent Strategy: You will own the end-to-end talent acquisition roadmap for the Product Business Group. In partnership with regional TA leaders, you will build a globally consistent yet locally relevant hiring framework, defining and measuring KPIs that align with our ambitious product and growth targets. Success in this area means consistently meeting hiring forecasts with world-class technical talent that drives our business forward.
- Technical Hiring Excellence & Assessment: You will redefine and elevate our standards for technical hiring. This includes owning the evolution of our skills-based assessments and structured interview processes to ensure we rigorously and equitably identify top talent. By partnering closely with engineering leaders, you will improve our quality of hire and strengthen our employer brand within the technical community.
- Executive Partnership & Workforce Planning: You will serve as the primary talent advisor to senior Product and Engineering leadership. Your ownership includes leveraging market intelligence and internal data to drive strategic workforce planning, build proactive talent pipelines for critical roles, and influence key hiring decisions, ensuring our talent strategy is fully integrated with the business's long-term objectives.
- Team Leadership & Development: You will lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global TA team. You are responsible for fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, optimizing team structure for scale, and developing your recruiters into strategic talent advisors for the business.
What You'll Bring
- Strategic TA Leadership in a Technical Environment: You have demonstrated success designing and executing a global talent acquisition strategy for a complex, engineering-driven organization. You can speak to how you've built scalable hiring processes that meet the demands of rapid growth and high technical bars.
- Executive Influence & Stakeholder Management: You have a proven ability to act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior technical leaders. You excel at navigating a global matrixed environment, using data and insights to influence decision-making and align cross-functional partners around shared goals.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: You possess a deep proficiency in using talent analytics and market intelligence to inform strategy, drive process improvements, and report on performance. You are skilled at translating data into a compelling narrative that guides workforce planning and business decisions.
- Empathetic & Accountable Team Leadership: You have a track record of developing and leading high-performing, globally distributed recruiting teams. You are known for fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning while mentoring your team to achieve excellence.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
