SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
As a Regional Implementation Engineer, you will be leading the regional team providing support and services in implementing Pure products. Your goal is to enable our customers and our delivery partners by advising on best practices with host integration and perform knowledge transfer on Pure software/hardware to perform day to day storage functions. The role is essential to bridge successful engagements between partners, customers, and sales account teams. You will work closely with the Pure PEAK team to assist in developing training and maintain education for all Implementation Engineers in your Region. You will contribute to the Pure’s evergreen storage business model by ensuring the hardware implementations and upgrades are online and seamless.
This team is often the first to implement new products and features in the field. We work closely with Product Management and Support to validate the process, training, and procedures. Our responsibilities include providing valuable feedback that would positively impact quality.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING...
- Perform pre-work, installations, and upgrades of Pure products.
- Pre and Post field support
- Partner with support and other Professional Services team members to ensure successful projects.
- Perform pre-engagement calls with customer, coordinator, and account teams to review any concerns and
- PURE product features and requirements.
- Emergency / Gap Engagement Delivery
- Perform basic knowledge transfer with customers on product features.
- Support delivery partner training on product installations and upgrades.
- Work with partners to onboard new implementation engineers.
- Audit partner implementation engineer knowledge / certifications.
- Regional responsibility for root cause analysis and remediation of customer escalations.
- Regional technical authority for network of delivery partners.
- Mentoring Implementation Engineers / sales teams
- Project planning for Strategic Accounts
- Proficient in Pure FlashArray and FlashBlade hardware and features
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- Strong technical skills in the areas of storage, server, and networking technologies.
- Experience with virtualization and operating systems.
- Ability to develop a team, encourage others to achieve shared goals.
- Exemplary time and resource management skills in addition to handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate ability to handle critical issues, drive discussion with customers and internal account teams.
- Excellent problem solver, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.5+ years of hardware installation and software configuration experience.
- 5+ years working knowledge of data center operations.
- Prior experience and knowledge of VMWare, TCP/IP, FC ISCSI, UNIX, NFS, and SMB.
- Previous Salesforce / ServiceNow experience is a bonus.
- Degree in Computer Science or related subject or equivalent work experience.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
