THE ROLE
We are seeking a forward-thinking Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Production Engineering organization and drive the future of our continuous integration systems. In this pivotal leadership role, you will lead end-to-end code orchestration, triage management, and operational execution of the software release pipeline. This is a unique opportunity to fundamentally reshape the data storage industry by championing continuous process improvement and cost-efficient release cycles while reducing toil for the engineering team. You will be a key technical advisor and people leader, ensuring the engineering organization reaches its full potential by optimizing resource efficiency, system throughput, and the reliability of our continuous integration processes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Drive Software Release SLOs: Own software release Service Level Objectives and report key metrics on product quality and engineering productivity.
- Orchestrate the Release Pipeline: Lead the operational execution of our software release pipeline, from end-to-end code orchestration to triage management.
- Increase Developer Productivity: Lead a team to design and build software, automation, and tools that make testing and integration faster, simpler, and more effective.
- Optimize and Manage Resources: Take ownership of resource management and create reports to track against key metrics, ensuring organizational efficiency.
- Collaborate and Prioritize: Partner with peers and stakeholders to identify pain points and requirements, then prioritize and solve for them.
WHAT YOU BRING
- CI/CD Expertise: Experience in a CI/CD, DevOps, SRE, or SDET role with a deep understanding of continuous integration systems and end-to-end automation.
- Automation Proficiency: Hands-on experience with automation using languages like Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin, and the ability to independently deploy and maintain test environments.
- Enterprise Product Experience: Proven ability to qualify enterprise products in cloud and container platforms such as AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker, with familiarity in environments like VMware.
- Project Management: Demonstrated expertise in managing projects through the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring products are delivered to market on schedule and incorporating customer feedback.
- Leadership and Problem Solving: A track record of technical management, combined with the analytical and creative problem-solving skills needed to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
