Global Logistics Specialist

Billerica, MA

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Global Logistics Specialist located in Billerica, MA to join our Logistics-Distribution team. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Experience with cold chain and instrument transportation requirements and monitoring
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation required for all international related transactions. (i.e. Commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origins etc.)
  • Ensures compliance with domestic and foreign transportation regulations, as well as US Import/Export regulatory compliance. Follows established policies and procedures
  • Working closely with carriers, integrators, freight forwarders, customs house brokers to coordinate the efficient movement of freight on a global basis
  • Responsible for the safe and legal movement of all materials both hazardous and non-hazardous
  • Utilize our Quality Management System Software (master Control)
  • Participates in the selection & inventory oversight of third-party warehouse and vendors; assess vendor capabilities, develop sources, and evaluates vendor performance. Responsible for the coding of freight bills to insure timely payment of carriers
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, delegate in support of management if needed
  • Fosters a high performing culture through collaboration, accountability, and perseverance
  • Recommend logistical process improvements and maintain company policies and Procedures, ensure all established policies and procedures are followed
  • Reviews, prioritizes, and organizes all outgoing orders
  • Performs and oversees administrative tasks as necessary
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations
  • Ensures safety and cGMP policy is followed by all warehouse personnel and all training is current
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management, hands on when needed in warehouse or dock
  • Manage inventory control initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years experience in traffic management or logistics
  • 3-4 years experience in FEDEX/UPS shipping software and Filling Electronic Export Information (EEI)/ Automated Export System (AES)
  • 3-4 years experience with cold chain and instrument transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration,
  • Ability to create and, or maintaining documentation required for all international related transactions. (i.e. Commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origins etc.)
  • Knowledge of compliance with domestic and foreign transportation regulations, as well as US Import/Export regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with carriers, integrators, freight forwarders, customs house brokers to coordinate the efficient movement of freight on a global basis.
  • Responsible for the safe and legal movement of all materials both hazardous and nonhazardous.
  • Create, update SOPs with basic utilization of a Quality Management System Software
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including ability to effectively communicate and interact with all individuals with integrity, empathy, and sincerity.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse, distribution, and inventory processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in achieving results and driving continuous improvement
  • Inventory control experience
