We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Associate II to join our growing organization. This position will be part of our Distribution team that is responsible for the safe and secure execution of receiving, storage, retrieval, packaging and shipping of inventory and non-inventory items in an organized condition. In this role you will physically prepare company product, paperwork, and labels for shipment to customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contact carrier and schedule shipping or logistics
  • Pick, package, and labels shipments according to the Distribution standard operating procedure (SOP) and work instructions
  • Execute material transactions in company ERP system and use carriers’ computer systems to generate shipping labels, packing slip import/export documentation and manage document filing systems
  • Practices good housekeeping and keeps inventory neat, clean, and orderly
  • Verifies proper storage conditions of products and notifies Supervisor of any inventory issues that may arise such as Can’t Finds, Expired Product, Breakage, and Out-Of-Stocks
  • Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction including maintaining sufficient employee relations and teamwork
  • Deliver internal orders and incoming samples/Purchase orders to the laboratory
  • Pick, pack and ship correct items for customer orders by referencing part number, product description, pick location and pick quantity from computer generated work order
  • Interact with all departments and employees within the company to ensure material and supply needs are met in a positive, helpful fashion
  • Interact with and support all internal departments to meet their material needs
  • Perform all work assignments as trained to comply with all regulatory requirements and procedure
  • Keep areas neat and clean throughout the workday using a clean-as-you-go policy
  • Report any unsafe conditions to supervisor
  • Shipping - Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, receives purchase orders after verification, Labels incoming materials, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with procurement directly to rectify damages and shortages
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Basic Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED
  • 3 + year’s shipping AND Receiving experience using FedEx, UPS, ERP, SAP, and WMS software
  • Microsoft Office skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 year’s basic material handling equipment experience
  • 2 year’s of inventory management systems experience
  • 3 + years international and domestic shipping and receiving experience using FedEx, UPS, ERP, SAP and WMS software
  • 2 year’s Proforma invoice, Commercial invoice, Freight forwarders, AES, Bill of lading, Dangerous Goods, and Hazmat shipping experience

Skills, Abilities and Physical Demands:

Proficient written and spoken English. Attention to detail. Basic math skills. Ability to work independently in an organized manner, while keeping supervisor informed of progress, issues and resolutions. Ability to communicate with internal customers or departments via email or phone to resolve issues if encountered. Ability to work overtime with short notice. This a physically active job that requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds continuously throughout a minimum 8-hour shift.
