Platform Engineer:

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on our critical ASI infrastructure. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure platform services that underpin our core applications. You will leverage your deep expertise in cloud technologies and distributed systems to optimize our development and operational workflows.

What You'll Do: 

  • Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications using Kubernetes.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS to support scalable and secure applications.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance developer toolsets and streamline SDLC processes.
  • Measure, troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, network, and application issues.
  • Implement best practices for security, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Willingness to take on-call responsibilities

What You'll Bring: 

  • 3+ years of experience in a platform engineering or similar role.
  • Deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) with a strong understanding of core services such as EC2, S3, VPC, EKS, ALBs and ELBs, Transit Gateways, etc.
  • Advanced Linux skills (engineering fundamentals, networking, storage, operating systems)
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes
  • Proven experience with Elasticsearch, including cluster setup, indexing, querying, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in networking fundamentals and Wireguard.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with Kafka for building and managing streaming data pipelines.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Github Actions, CircleCI, and ArgoCD.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong ability to debug complex distributed systems.
  • Self motivating.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills..

Preferred Qualifications : 

  • Experience with Clickhouse
  • Experience with automation of infrastructure in a datacenter.
  • Knowledge of other distributed systems technologies.
  • Experience with microservices architectures.
  • AWS certifications.
