Rigetti Computing is developing cloud-deployed quantum computers to solve humanity’s most pressing and valuable problems. We are a highly diverse and interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers working at the cutting edge of technology in a mission-driven entrepreneurial environment. We believe that bringing together teams from various cultures, educational backgrounds, and technical disciplines helps them to see things from more points of view and to make great products that change the world for the better.
We are specifically targeting the SJSU community as a school with relevant majors for the diverse skills we hire for while being locationally proximal to our Fremont facility. A successful internship is a step in the direction of a stronger partnership!
The HR Intern will focus on HR-related work in support of the People team and broader Rigetti organization. As a growing start-up that just went public in March, we have ample opportunities to fortify our infrastructure and processes. While there is no absence of clean up work, we try to strike a pragmatic balance between that and new work as we stay in alignment to critical business goals. Taking stock and ensuring good hygiene in multiple areas across compliance, HR administration and underlying data and information that supports HR being a high quality partner to the business will be critical to this roles’ success. There is more than enough work to be done in a summers’ time, so it is possible that this role can extend beyond its original timeline (pending a productive and delightful mutual fit, of course).
As quantum computing leaders, Rigetti values diversity and is committed to building a culture of inclusion to attract and engage differing perspectives. Our technology, meant to serve all of humanity, cannot succeed if those who built it do not mirror the diversity of the communities we serve. Applications from women, minorities, and other underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged.
