Game Producer (Contract)

As a Game Producer on our R&D team, you’ll do more than manage tasks—you’ll drive clarity in chaos, connect global teams, and make it easier for developers to do their best work. You’ll work closely with local devs, global partners, and our publishing teams to bring experiments to life, make them playable, and get them in front of players.

This is an R&D role, so speed and iteration matter—but so does communication. You’ll also be the team’s bilingual bridge, coordinating English ↔ Chinese translations for key dev materials and player-facing content, and helping ensure that what we build resonates across languages and cultures.

The role is based in Guangzhou.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with product leads to set goals, prioritize features, and define delivery plans.
  • Coordinate team rituals (planning, reviews, retros, etc.) that keep the team aligned and learning fast.
  • Own the day-to-day production flow: task tracking, follow-ups, risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with art, design, engineering, and QA to support smooth development.
  • Act as a linguistic and cultural bridge between English and Mandarin-speaking teams.
  • Translate key documents, presentations, and dev updates between English and Chinese.
  • Coordinate with Riot’s localization and publishing teams to ensure accurate, player-first translations of in-game text, UI, VO, and other assets.
  • Support internal playtests and help prepare milestone presentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a production or project management role in games, tech, or entertainment.
  • Native or near-native fluency in both Mandarin and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both.
  • Experience managing translation/localization workflows or working with bilingual teams.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and the messy nature of early development.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for games, especially multiplayer or competitive genres.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working on prototyping, pre-production, or new IP development.
  • Familiarity with translation tools, term bases, and CAT systems.
  • Prior experience with Unity, Unreal, or rapid game dev pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Riot IPs, player communities, or esports.

Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter. We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.
