Producers lead teams, initiatives and products from conception through launch and operation inside of the gaming space. They create and align teams to product vision, have a deep understanding of player needs, competitors and market conditions, and are able to balance scope, quality and time to predictably deliver at a high quality bar for players.

As a Senior Technical Producer on an Unpublished R&D Product, you will be responsible for driving production efforts on a features team, supporting the development of player-facing systems such as social features, personalization, and store capabilities. You will provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced producers. You will keep the players' experience, as well as the experience of dev teams within Riot, in mind as you track progress, deliver products/features, and organize priorities and goals. You will work within a cross functional team of engineers, designers and artists to support the team in delivering genre-defining experiences to our players.  Your group will consist of Rioters across the globe, including Sydney and North America. You will report to a Senior Production leader supporting the R&D Game Team.

This is a full-time role, based in Sydney, Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage the day-to-day product and sprint backlog for a cross functional development team
  • Identify and collect needs and requirements from stakeholders and other development teams
  • Facilitate all team meetings and enable team communication across multiple time zones
  • Ensure optimal team health, culture, efficacy, and efficiency
  • Communicate team staffing needs as they arise
  • Continuously improve work systems to push toward development best practices
  • Support the team by removing roadblocks and managing distractions
  • Be responsible for the execution of risk management, velocity tracking, progress reporting, and quality validation processes at both sprint and milestone levels
  • Collaborate across teams and products to deliver a unified experience
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and keep them informed of progress, risks and pivots
  • Provide essential product feedback and insight to the team and leadership

Required Qualifications: 

  • 6+ years of experience as a Producer or Product Manager
  • 2+ years experience working with teams building software for internal users
  • Experience using Agile tools and practices to drive the development process for a distributed development team
  • Experience partnering with central and distributed development teams to improve developer workflows
  • Experience leading teams through feature development (planning, execution, delivery, post-release support)
  • Familiarity with 3rd party engines (Unreal or Unity) and their components; understanding how engineers use and integrate with them to support development
  • Understanding the key steps in creating a build—cooking, compiling, packaging, automation, deployment, versioning, patching, localization—and how they relate to team workflows and delivery planning
  • Comprehension of what third-party plugins are, how to help scope integration work, and the types of challenges teams may face when connecting external tools or services

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working on a global scale online game
  • 3+ years of experience working in game development
  • Experience working with teams building metagames or core gameplay systems
  • Mastery of production tools like JIRA for tracking and reporting
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
