As the Lead Fulfillment Technician, you will help oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy fulfillment team. This role is responsible for managing a team of pharmacy technicians, providing hands-on leadership through training, coaching, and performance oversight to ensure consistent adherence to operational standards and procedures.
You will support the accurate and timely fulfillment of prescription and non-prescription medications, while fostering a work culture centered on quality, safety, and efficiency. A key aspect of this role includes working directly with pharmacy automation equipment to streamline fulfillment operations and ensure optimal system performance. With a mindset rooted in continuous improvement, you will collaborate with pharmacy leadership to identify and implement enhancements to workflows and systems. The Lead Fulfillment Technician also plays a key role in compliance adherence and maintaining readiness for inspections. This position is essential to the success of our fulfillment operation and to delivering a seamless, high-quality experience for our patients.

What You'll Do:
Lead and mentor a team of pharmacy technicians by providing hands-on coaching, real-time feedback, and performance support to foster a high-performing team cultureOversee technician onboarding, training, and ongoing skills development to ensure compliance with SOPs and operational excellenceSupport scheduling and staffing needs to ensure appropriate shift coverage and workflow continuityEnsure pharmacy fulfillment workflows—including picking, packing, and shipping—are executed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established timelinesAct as the primary point of contact for daily operational issues on the floor, escalating concerns to pharmacy leadership as appropriateCollaborate closely with pharmacists and cross-functional teams including operations, care, and product to resolve order and shipping issues promptlyOperate and troubleshoot pharmacy automation equipment, ensuring it functions properly to support order volumeMonitor quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the fulfillment process, and drive adherence to all applicable standards and proceduresContribute to a culture of continuous improvement by participating in workflow evaluations and helping implement operational enhancementsMaintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready workspace aligned with company policies and regulatory expectationsFlexibly support fulfillment operations by assisting with order processing and technician duties as needed to meet volume demandsSupport additional operational tasks and responsibilities as assigned by pharmacy leadershipWhat You'll Bring to the Team:
Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferredProven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and support a team in a fast-paced fulfillment environmentEmpathy, patience, and professionalism in interactions with both patients and team membersStrong critical thinking and decision-making abilities, especially when navigating high-pressure or time-sensitive situationsExcellent organizational skills and a sharp attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and complianceComfort working with pharmacy automation equipment and technology-driven workflowsA proactive, improvement-oriented mindset and the ability to contribute to cross-functional problem-solvingExcellent verbal and written communication skills, and a collaborative spirit that thrives in cross-functional environmentsSchedule & Availability:
