At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there.

A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.

As a Product Designer on the Visual & Design Systems team, you’ll be an individual contributor focused on evolving Roblox’s product visual language and system, ensuring its consistent expression across our platform. Our team collaborates closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to define and scale our visual and design system that unifies all our products from consumer apps, creator apps, tools and internal products. You’ll work on foundational elements such as iconography, color, typography, and motion and incorporate it in our Product Foundation System —helping translate them into scalable assets, reusable patterns, and clear guidelines.

You have a passion for visual craft, a systematic approach to design, and a strong foundation in tools like Figma. Your work will help ensure every visual detail across Roblox is intentional, cohesive, and expressive of our unique identity.

You will report to the Head of Visual & Design Systems.

You will:

  • Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to evolve and maintain the Roblox product visual language, including color, typography, iconography, motion, grid, shape, illustration, and 3D.
  • Translate visual language principles into clear, actionable documentation and guidelines for widespread adoption by design and engineering teams.
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of our UI components, patterns, and template libraries—ensuring each element meets high visual craft standards and aligns with accessibility goals.
  • Partner with Brand and Product Design teams to align product visual expression with our broader identity.
  • Assist in the production of scalable assets such as icons and illustrations, with a strong emphasis on systematic design thinking.
  • Participate in design reviews and QA processes to ensure fidelity and consistency across all feature implementations.

You have:

  • 2+ years of experience in visual design, product design, or similar roles, ideally within tech or digital product environments.
  • Proficiency in Figma and industry-standard tools (Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, or equivalent).
  • A portfolio that demonstrates excellent visual craft and systematic thinking, particularly in areas such as iconography, illustration, typography, or motion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate visual decisions with clarity.
  • (Big bonus point) Specialization or interest in icon design and/or illustration as part of a product design system.

You are:

  • Systematic in your approach to design, with a strong eye for detail and consistency.
  • Eager to learn, iterate, and contribute to a growing, evolving visual system.
  • Comfortable balancing craft with constraints, and creativity with scalability.
  • Open to feedback and passionate about cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excited by the idea of shaping a visual language and design system that reaches millions of users every day.
