Why Account Identity?

The Account Identity team builds systems that collect real-world identity signals to increase platform trust for our users and creators. An important part of this strategy is our Access Management Platform, which enables teams to open up features to trusted users and for the users, give them simple, transparent, relevant ways to become trusted.

As a Senior Engineering Manager for the Account Identity Team, you will lead and build a team of and well-rounded engineers. You will provide both technical and people leadership, encouraging a culture that values high-quality code and team comradery. This is a unique opportunity to dive into strategic planning. You Will:

• Report to our Senior Director of Engineering
• Oversee enormous initiatives that span multiple teams.
• Develop a team Roadmap, charter, and vision.
• Attract and hire top talent to Roblox.
• Uphold high coding standards and establish new ones.
• Work for your team, being a force multiplier by unblocking issues and bridging the gaps between organizations.
• Mentor engineers to make sure your team expertise grows over time.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams, product and design to develop new functionality, pipelines, and workflow.
• Be guided by our vision to put the Roblox community first and represent us through thought leadership.

You Have:

• 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager
• 8+ years of experience in large-scale software development with experience delivering performant solutions.
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Proficient system design and programming skills
• Excellent long term, both in technical systems and in consumer product design.
• Recognize risks, errors, and influence in application development
• Collaboration skills across multiple teams and disciplines
• Experience with testing and development
• Programming experience in one compiled (C++, C#, Java) and one interpreted script language (JS, PHP, Python, Lua, etc)
• Experience with Account Identity / Access / Identity systems
