As the engineering manager for Orchestration and Service Discovery you will create, lead, and evolve the software infrastructure for the discovery of and communication between microservices at Roblox. Come help us create, support and evolve the infra that supports millions of containers that serve hundreds of millions of requests per second.

The Service Discovery organization develops and operates:

Cross-Roblox services reliably handling daily service discovery requests at scale.
Infrastructure services enabling a reliability-zone based architecture and load balancing.
Full stack automation of internal services and Hashicorp Consul.

You Will:

Lead, support, and grow a team of engineers building global-scale service discovery and orchestration solutions for Roblox.
Work with leadership in the Compute and wider infrastructure teams to define and evolve strategy aligned with the organization's roadmap.
Build a strong relationship with and understanding of our internal customers, the engineers of Roblox.

You Have:

Experience (5+ years) in managing software engineering teams.
Experience in building and supporting large-scale distributed infrastructure.
A customer, team, and quality focus and like getting things done.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$315,850—$383,910 USD
