WHY CUSTOMER CARE?

Safety and Civility is Roblox's #1 priority, and our mission is to protect our community. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help found our Customer Care team within the Safety & Civility org. You will support Roblox users by working with our Customer Support agents and Roblox creator community on problems that have not been solved before. You will be responsible for large parts of Roblox's public and internal facing applications. You will report to an engineering leader on our Customer Care Team.

You Are:

  • Versatile: You're a jack of all trades and you are comfortable with several languages and technologies already; you are adaptable in any situation. You are resourceful, and take a creative and strategic approach to solving hard problems.
  • Analytical: Excited to investigate large, ambiguous problems, and quantify the problems and the solutions.
  • User Oriented: You always start with the needs of the user, whether they are Roblox users or internal engineers before architecting a solution.
  • Team Oriented: You lift up your peers and find ways to make the team stronger.

You Will:

  • Build systems to address support issues Roblox. This may involve building internal tools with high uptime, security systems, and automation to support our operation teams.
  • Define and build platform features to support product teams across the company in ensuring customer care in every part of Roblox.
  • Help define the team's roadmap and long-term strategy towards aiding users from multiple channels like Roblox experiences to a support form.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development
  • 4+ years of experience building and shipping products to production
  • 2+ years of experience developing large-scale services
  • Experience with frontend technologies building user interfaces
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$218,540$283,780 USD
