About the role:

The Hybrid Cloud pod's mission is to enable Roblox to create a private Cloud that spans third-party Clouds and our own data centers. We do this by creating tooling that helps our internal customers access Cloud functionality and capacity in a self service way. This includes building a Control Plane, an amazing UX for our internal customers, and a provisioning engine to lay the foundation for third-party Cloud (and on prem) management. Reporting directly to the director of the Hybrid Cloud team, you'll shape the future of infrastructure management at Roblox.

You will:

  • Build self service workflows to enable management of Cloud infrastructure by utilizing IaC, building Control Planes, and creating tooling in Golang/Python
  • Partner with our Cloud Security team to secure our Cloud Infra
  • Create network VPCs and designs. Arrange and coordinate direct connections between cloud services and on premise resources
  • Build autonomous systems over ops and repetitive tasks.
  • Create, influence, and improve the development platform, infrastructure, standards, and methods to ensure scalability and high availability

You have:

  • 4+ years of production software engineering experience.
  • A desire for process improvement and learning. You are always looking for ways to improve the quality and efficiency of your work and the work of your team.
  • Experience working with and building on public cloud providers such as - AWS, GCP or Azure
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$218,540$283,780 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
