Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team.

THE TEAM

Snowflake’s Data Cloud is a global platform where thousands of organizations store, process and share their data.  The central part of the Data Cloud is the Marketplace which enables collaboration across geographies and cloud providers.  A key part of the initiative includes developing internal applications that enrich the Marketplace and provide the end user with good starting points to create their own apps.

The App development team builds native app applications and collaborates in other internal Snowflake initiatives, helping the company in growing their apps portfolio and ease the customer adoption of native apps and marketplace.

THE ROLE

As an app development engineering manager, you will lead an engineering team crafting both Snowflake native apps for end users and other internal initiatives.. You will also lead throughout all Snowflake, keeping the highest standards in hiring, product quality and operational excellence. You will be an advocate of Native Apps outside Snowflake, evangelizing the platform among developers.

On the App Development team, you will use your technical skills a lot. Your voice will be heard at design meetings and sometimes in code reviews. You will facilitate deep discussions about security, application versionsing, zero-downtime deployments, access control, intellectual property protection, UI frameworks and many other aspects. You will often abstract and generalize, helping the team define solutions. It’s fine if you don’t have experience with data or app platforms as long as you have the talent and curiosity to learn.
