We’re looking for an attorney to join Snowflake’s Legal team to handle a variety of employment and litigation matters.  This role will be filled at either the Corporate Counsel or Senior Corporate Counsel level and will report to Snowflake’s Senior Director, Associate General Counsel - Employment & Litigation.  This is an in-person role based in Atlanta, GA or Dublin, CA. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Employment

  • Advise on a wide range of employment issues, including recruiting, hiring, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, disability accommodations, pay practices, contingent workers, HR policies and procedures, performance management, investigations, and terminations.
  • Support country expansion initiatives and employment-related due diligence and integration activities as part of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Draft employment-related agreements, templates, policies, and forms (e.g., employment agreements, consulting agreements, policies, separation agreements, etc.). 
  • Conduct periodic reviews, audits, and compliance assessments of employment-related policies and practices.
  • Monitor changes and updates to employment laws and advise of developments that may impact Snowflake.

Litigation

  • Working with our Legal team, outside counsel, and other stakeholders, manage commercial-, IP-, trademark-, bankruptcy-, and employment-related disputes and litigation matters.
  • Manage responses to subpoenas, garnishment orders, domestic relations orders, statutory requests for information, and requests from government and law enforcement agencies.
  • Conduct and manage internal investigations on matters involving legal risks to Snowflake.
  • Review and advise on litigation-related contractual provisions in commercial agreements, to include providing advice on dispute resolution, governing law, venue, arbitration, limitation of liability, and indemnification clauses.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • JD from an accredited law school, membership in at least one state bar, and ability to practice in the jurisdiction in which this position is located.
  • Minimum of 4 years of legal experience, with substantive employment law and litigation experience. 
  • Law firm experience and/or in-house experience preferred.
  • Ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attitude that no project is too big or too small. 
  • Sense of humor and passion for the job.
