Our Product Finance & Monetization team is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join our growing team. This team manages Snowflake’s pricing and business models to maximize Snowflake’s long term profitability and growth. In this role, you will formulate pricing proposals based on financial and competitive analysis, develop them into committed pricing initiatives with cross-functional and leadership support, and implement them into sales and operational processes. You will lead analytic efforts to set pricing for regional expansion, new products and feature sets, new service offerings, product/service bundling programs, promotions, pricing policies, price realization analytics and deal/discount approval decisions support. Reporting to the Director, Pricing Strategy and working closely with Finance, Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales Operations and Legal, this is a highly visible role with excellent growth potential.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO : 

  • Work with product management, product marketing, finance and sales to develop new pricing and packaging strategies that maintain strategic and portfolio coherency. You will be a pricing expert for your workload areas and perform detailed analysis on market, customer, and competitors to support Snowflake’s revenue growth
  • Work with product and finance leadership to design and execute quantitative pricing research (sales / customer survey, conjoint, van westendorp, etc.)
  • Answer detailed questions around our unit economics via SQL queries.  You’re not just tweaking premade queries- you write from scratch.  Enable strategic decision making with insightful data
  • Track and measure pricing KPIs, develop reporting to enable decision making on pricing performance
  • Become a trusted business partner to our Engineering and Product Management teams on all aspects of our cloud spend.  You will be leaned on as an active advisor for cost considerations whenever our infrastructure is involved.

ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE : 

  • 3-5+ years experience in Finance, Pricing or Management Consulting. Experience working in a SaaS business supporting pricing, finance and/ or business operations teams is strongly preferred 
  • Comfort with big data and strong Excel skills.  You know when and how to utilize Excel, and are proficient in SQL and using a BI tools.  Python skills are nice to have 
  • Ability to synthesize large data sets and applying analytic frameworks for insights to support business decisions
  • Bachelor degree in business, statistics, economics, or other quantitative disciplines
  • You also understand how to juggle competing priorities outside of traditional FP&A to balance against multiple deadlines
  • Preferred: Experience in analyzing the cost and usage data from AWS, Azure, or GCP.  Knowledge of SaaS business models and B2B channel structures, FinOps certification is nice to have
