Snowflake customers frequently cite user experience and an interface that is extremely powerful, yet easy to use as a critical factor in their satisfaction. The Analytical Products engineering group is tasked with building that best-in-class experience for analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and administrators, as well as a rich intuitive provider and consumer experience in the Snowflake Data Exchange and Data Marketplace. We are looking for an exceptional engineering manager to help lead and grow this high-impact team. 

AS ENGINEERING MANAGER FOR THE ANALYTICAL PRODUCTS TEAM, YOU WILL:

  • Lead the team to drive projects from idea formulation, to design, and to implementation.
  • Drive great partnership with the product management team.
  • Set team strategy and be accountable for team plans and deliverables.
  • Grow and build a strong, healthy, and diverse team through hiring as well mentoring and coaching.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and cross functional teams.
  • Provide strong technical leadership to the team and partner teams.
  • Build the vision for the team along with product management.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

  • 10+ years of experience in front end web application development.
  • 7+ years of experience in managing and leading teams to build rich web applications with the latest browser technologies.
  • Strong track record of managing engineering teams.
  • Strong track record of delivering large scale front-end applications.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Extensive and strong development experience in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, is a plus.
  • Experience in building distributed systems is a big plus.
  • Hands-on experience with notebook technology a plus.
  • Strong hands-on coding skills a plus. Can drill deep into the complex system design and implementation when needed.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.
