The Product Security team ensures that Snowflake products are built and shipped with the highest level of security. Our team drives the security development lifecycle of new products in collaboration with multiple product, security and engineering teams. Our approach is to empower Snowflake developers to build secure software. We aim to increase their autonomy by providing clear security guidelines, automating security reviews, and building necessary security tools and frameworks. 

In this role, you will design and build security scanning solutions that our customers use in the Snowflake Trust Center. You will have the opportunity to help set the direction for product security at Snowflake while working closely with other teams at Snowflake. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop and scale automated security scanners to help Snowflake customers assess their security posture and securely configure their Snowflake account.
  • Partner with security, engineering and product teams to define and set the strategy for security practices and processes.
  • Lead and manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in software development working with one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, C, C++, Go.
  • Experience designing, testing, and maintaining software solutions.
  • Experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience working with infrastructure from major cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience with building security products, including but not limited to vulnerability detection and management, compliance scanning, threat detection.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
