Snowflake’s Data Cloud team is actively seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering and Data Lake Sales Strategy to join our growing team. 

In this role you will act as a player-coach you will act as a thought leaders to drive strategic customer outcomes and value realization within Data Engineering and Data Lake workload areas across all global theaters.  

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO: 

  • Apply your deep understanding of Snowflake's platform capabilities in the Data Engineering and Data Lake workload areas, and ability to translate new platform capabilities into sales strategies and value propositions
  • Manage a team of industry experts, hiring, onboarding and supporting their success
  • Work with account teams to develop customer-specific strategies for achieving technical wins and successful migrations of strategic Data Engineering and Data Lake workloads in 
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to build specific messaging and content to engage customers based on account-specific strategies for Data Engineering and Data Lake use cases
  • Lead early engagement with key customer personas around Snowflake’s Data Engineering and Data Lake capabilities and the value hypothesis for migrating use cases pertaining to these workloads to the Snowflake platform
  • Partner with our Field CTO organization to plan and execute validation exercises (ie. Pilots/POCs) to achieve technical wins for migrating Data Engineering and Data Lake use cases to the Snowflake platform
  • Work with cross-functional teams including sales engineering, professional services and industry specialists  to lead and support internal account team enablement efforts around effective Data Engineering and Data Lake sales strategies and tactics.

ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

  • 10-15 years of sales or sales engineering experience with an expertise in the data engineering and data lake space 
  • 4+ years of experience in a customer facing role within the Snowflake ecosystem, Snowflake experience being highly preferred 
  • Deep understanding of the modern data stack ecosystem and ability to differentiate Snowflake compared with the competitive landscape
  • Self-starter who can independently manage time and develop internal/external relationships
  • Proactive, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
