Position Title:                                Pole Engineering Admin

Department:                                  Plant

Reports To:                                     Engineering PM

FLSA Status:                                   Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Benefited 

 

Position Summary:
Handles the ingesting and setup of all engineering applications received.  Responsible for setting up the work into the engineering team and fully managing the turn-key engineering process up to permit submittal by our outside vendor. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Pole Engineering Admin is a full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt position.

Travel:
Travel is not expected for this position.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation Details:

$20-$24/hour, plus full benefits and other perks

  • Apply general telecommunication industry standards and practices as well as government codes and regulations.
  • Coordinate with other entities (utilities, governmental agencies, contractors) to determine proper application process is followed.
  • Provides validation of submitted documents ensuring completeness and validity of quantities delivered.
  • Creates applications in JIRA and stores all documentation inside project folders.

  • Knowledge of OSP Engineering/Construction practices and standards.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible, team player attitude, with the ability to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Attention to detail is extremely important.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industry environment.
  • Ability to Multi-task and manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to learn what is needed for applications for specific utility companies.
  • Ability to determine solely owned poles from jointly owned.
  • Communicate with Engineering companies about applications delivered/applied.
  • Verify monthly pole count invoicing on applications received.
  • Direct Turn-Key application process from ingestion through permitting.
  • Create Purchase Orders.
