Title: Benefits Specialist  with Total Rewards Team

As a Benefits Specialist, you will be a key member of small Total Rewards team, engaging directly with brokers and vendors. You will substantially contribute to SonicWall’s benefit programs by leveraging your experience as a benefits expert to provide recommendations on plan design and management for the full array of health and benefits programs. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in the Compensation space.

Location : USA - Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and implementing the compensation and benefits for the organization
  • Oversee health, welfare and wellness programs, and the defined contribution retirement plan
  • Ensure the organization offers market competitive base and incentive pay practices
  • Guide the annual compensation planning activities and administration of the annual merit and bonus award calculations
  • Conduct the evaluation of new jobs and alignment to existing job level structures
  • Partner with benefit brokers to develop benefit plan design for annual renewal
  • Develops communication materials, strategies and project plans to enhance employees’ understanding of benefits offerings
  • Audit 401(k) deductions and prepare 401(k) reports
  • Process and reconcile benefit billings and invoices
  • Prepare data for benefit renewals
  • Ensure that company’s benefit and compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations
  • Conduct market analysis and research by participating in salary surveys to support compensation decisions (experience with Radford a plus)
  • Prepare and submit all government-mandated reports
  • Respond to employee benefit inquiries
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Provide ad hoc reports as needed by the business


Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic environment characterized by rapid change and multiple competing priorities
  • Expertise required to establish project plans, regularly monitor and track progress
  • Knowledge of global compensation and benefit regulations and laws (i.e., FLSA, ADA)
  • Understanding/knowledge of working with employees in different countries
  • Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of the team
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail
  • Deadline-driven
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Intermediate Excel skills


Education and Experience:

  • At least 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 1 year experience; or equivalent experience preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business administration, human resources, or related field of study or equivalent experience
  • Experience with HRIS and other HR tech platforms required (BambooHR, Pay Factors and Bullseye experience a plus)
  • 5+ years of experience as a compensation and benefits specialist with proven success in managing international compensation and benefits programs, preferably in a high-tech industry
