Job Description:

  • Design and develop new software features with limited supervision.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
  • Make the right judgment calls to deliver features on time, with the highest level of quality, in the best interest of the customer.
  • Facilitate problem diagnosis and prompt resolution for issues reported by customers.
  • Maintain existing software features by implementing enhancements and fixing bugs.
  • Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, test case reviews, and process enhancements.
  • Facilitate problem diagnosis and prompt resolution for issues reported by customers.
  • Write functional and design specifications, and work with technical publications team for documentation needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work with different groups, teams and projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • MS in computer science or engineering or related field with 3+ years of software development experience or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field with 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong experience with Linux or VxWorks operating systems.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills as well as strategy development abilities.
  • Expert knowledge of computer languages, data structures, computer logic and flow-charting.
  • Proficiency in C is a must. Experience in embedded system development is a plus.
  • Extensive hands-on development experience with SD-WAN and traffic management technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Networking protocols and functioning of TCP/IP stack.
  • Experience in High Availability, VPNs, and Routing technologies is a strong plus.

Compensation varies based on location and work being performed. The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $168,000 – $265,000 for annual base salary. Employees may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses and commissions. The successful candidate’s actual pay will also be based on qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
