Software Dev Principal Engineer

Milpitas, CA

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement SSL decryption (DPI-SSL) features of SonicWall's next generation firewall.
  • Maintain and document code using source control system.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of software development experience.
  • Experienced C/C++ programmer
  • Strong knowledge of SSL protocol and OpenSSL library.
  • Knowledge of security ciphers and general knowledge of PKI is highly recommended
  • Solid background in TCP/IP networking a must with strong Layer 3 through Layer 7 protocol (HTTP, SMTP, POP, FTP) knowledge preferred.
  • Previous experience in working on SSL decryption type of functionality is a huge plus
  • Experience with firewalls and embedded development environment preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong background in either Unix/Linux or VxWorks systems a must.
  • Self-motivated individual.
  • Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
