General Description: We are currently hiring a Senior Android Developer to develop world-class mobile apps in one of the hottest cyber security areas. You will collaborate with other team members in this role to deliver functional and user-friendly mobile applications within established timelines. Building an application is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, being a team player with a commitment to perfection is desired.
Responsibilities:
- Design and innovate architecture and core functions for Android and ChromeOS apps.
- Implement networking protocols and features.
- Troubleshoot and solve challenging technical issues.
- Support the entire app lifecycle from design, proof of concept, implementations, testing, release, and customer support.
- Recommend changes and enhancements.
- Stay up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols.
Requirements:
- Good communication skills, great team player, professional, and willing to collaborate with local and remote stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the Android app development lifecycle.
- Proficient with Java, Kotlin, Gradle, and Android SDK.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with integrating third-party code, libraries, and projects into Android applications.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Strong knowledge of memory management, garbage collection, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and TLS/SSL.
- Experience with the Android Connectivity framework is desired.
- Solid experience with storage and threading.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications with back-end services.
- Knowledge of Android UI/UX design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Knowledge of content filter, packet capture, Zero-Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Software Defined Networking (SDN), WireGuard, and VPN technologies.
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
- Knowledge of app benchmarking and optimization.
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Experience with other frameworks such as React-Native, Vue.js, or Flutter is preferred.
- Experience with iOS app development is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Master's or bachelor’s degree in computer science.
- Five years of work experience.
