The Squarespace Finance team is seeking an experienced Internal Controls Analyst to join our growing team! You will partner with Accounting, Engineering, Legal, HR and Leadership to implement an internal controls strategy for Squarespace's high-growth business.

The Internal Controls Analyst will be a member of the finance team with experience assessing and improving control environments. You will help drive outcomes and manage processes with internal teams to solve complex issues.

You will report into the Manager, Internal Controls and be hybrid working from our NYC office 2-3 days per week.

You'll Get To...

  • Help maintain an effective internal control environment over financial reporting
  • Perform control testing to address audit assertions
  • Ensure risk assessment and control frameworks are in place, and running correctly
  • Create internal control narratives, flowcharts and risk matrices
  • Support the Internal Controls Management in Identifying key business and technology risks and mitigation strategies
  • Track remediation to completion and provide recommendations for control improvements
  • Support finance automation and efficiency initiatives

Who We're Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in internal controls, internal and external audit & accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • Relevant certifications such as CIA, CISA or CPA
  • Working knowledge of the COSO 2013 and COBIT frameworks
  • Experience executing controls and auditing strategies to achieve results
  • Strong organizational, communication, prioritization and process improvement skills

Cash Compensation Range: $53,500 - $86,250 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
