We are looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Manager, People Operations to lead and refine our People Operations team. You will help shape and scale key people processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and adaptability to support business growth. You have a deep understanding of HR operations, experience managing a successful shared service function, and a passion for continuous improvement, driving seamless processes, systems, and policies that enhance the employee experience.
You will report directly to the Head of People Operations and will be based in our New York headquarters operating on a hybrid schedule.
You'll Get To...
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing People Operations team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous skill growth.
- Establish best practices and cultivate a culture of operational excellence to enhance the employee experience.
- Oversee daily People Operations processes (Recruit to Retire), ensuring scalability, compliance, and efficiency.
- Create operational excellence across HR functions, including benefits, employee relations, global mobility, payroll, and compensation.
- Partner with Centers of Excellence(HR, Legal, Talent & Payroll) to identify opportunities to expand shared services and enhance HR operations.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR systems, maintaining high standards for data governance.
- Maintain process documentation to support clarity, consistency, and autonomy
- Monitor SLAs, and ticket volumes, implementing improvements to enhance the employee experience and reduce support requests.
- Perform regular audits with a focus on operational excellence
- Introduce and implement programs that align with company culture while improving operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Leverage HR analytics to drive data-driven decision-making and strategic workforce planning.
- Develop governance structures following HR guidelines to ensure smooth integration of new processes and system enhancements.
- Communicate priorities, roadmaps, and key updates to stakeholders, leading end-user training and managing system adoption, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Collaborate with HRIS teams to optimize JIRA and Workday for automation, knowledge management, and case handling.
Who We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in HR operations, shared services, project/system implementation, or change management.
- 5+ years of people management experience, managing diverse and geographically dispersed teams. (Experience in USA and Ireland preferred)
- Expert proficiency with JIRA and Workday, including process optimization and re-engineering.
- Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making and continuous improvement.
- High attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive HR data.
- In-depth understanding of HR and talent processes, with experience designing and testing workflows and reports.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Cash Compensation Range: $153,500 - $247,250 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
