We are looking for a Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) Program Assistant to join our People & Culture team on a 12 month contract. Reporting to our DIB Business Partner, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and our external First Nations Partners to deliver on key projects and support our goal to become the home of First Nations Fashion and Design. The key capabilities to be successful in this role will be a demonstrated administrative ability, supporting projects and working hands-on with the business to deliver to deadlines. You will thrive in a fast paced environment and you will be able to prioritise and juggle multiple priorities, while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

What you'll love about the role...

  • You will support the development and implementation of DIB projects and initiatives, with a focus on Indigenous Engagement.
  • You will participate in DIB project meetings and liaise with People & Culture, Commercial and PR/Communications team members, as well as with external DIB partners.
  • You will develop relationships with and work closely with stakeholders to support the development and delivery of DIB programs, to meet project deadlines. 
  • You will provide administrative support, including calendar and document management, as well as updating resources and maintaining files and folders.
  • You will support the development and delivery of internal and external DIB projects, activities and events that reflect business priorities.
  • You communicate openly and effectively across your role, and keep the team updated on relevant pieces of work, escalating and seeking approvals as required.

What Success Looks like…

  • The ability to build solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A genuine passion for or experience in diversity, inclusion and belonging, with a specific interest in or experience in working with Indigenous cultures. 
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and solid organisational ability.
  • An excellent communicator and team player who is able to manage conversations with confidence and empathy.
  • A passion for fashion, lifestyle and ecommerce. 
  • Ability to handle tasks efficiently with a high level of detail and accuracy within a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • This is a hybrid role, primarily based at THE ICONIC’s Head Office in Pitt Street Sydney, with semi-regular travel to multiple hubs, and work from home/flexible options.
