Who we are looking for:

An effective client-facing leader who owns function-specific training and excellence standards, while also developing best practices and processes within the function. We are looking for an individual possessing excellent communication, strategic and leadership skills to serve as a coach, functional manager and senior advisor for their team.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead in the development of a portfolio of agency partnerships as a senior strategic advisor, providing technical and client service excellence based on The Trade Desk's vision and values, while thinking holistically about trends, opportunities and potential threats.
  • Manage, motivate and empower a growing client services team (account managers & traders) to drive consistent YoY account growth – overseeing their day-to-day management, setting clear expectations, developing career path plans, providing constructive feedback, managing bandwidth and maintaining a high level of performance from the team, while reporting progress against goals to management. 
  • Support senior leadership’s decisions on client services resourcing decisions, with awareness of current, immediate upcoming & long-term revenue opportunity, ensuring the existing headcount is distributed properly and new headcount is planned to support partnership growth.
  • Actively pursue and lead relationships at the senior management and C-level.
  • Demonstrate the value of The Trade Desk by crafting innovative technical solutions that meet the clients’ needs and business goals with a thorough understanding of their technology stack’s dependencies.
  • Provide thought leadership to your client and their partner ecosystem on how to best leverage The Trade Desk’s platform and integration capabilities.
  • Communicate the value of The Trade Desk media buying platform by walking through detailed demonstrations of the product, adjusting approach for different types of senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Business Development leadership to help drive effective performance and collaboration across all teams. You are always on the lookout for opportunities to improve process and communication.
  • Develop trusting and productive internal relationships with other functional leaders (product, marketing, partnerships, legal, strategy, etc.). Use effective communication to solve business challenges together, identifying opportunities for growth, and collaborating to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation.
  • Participate in product feedback & roadmap discussions, representing your clients’ needs with senior leadership, product, & engineering. This is a paramount responsibility with the recent launch of our largest product release yet: Kokai.
  • Responsible for growing your book of business through strategic cross-selling and upselling opportunities by understanding the core client business needs, and instilling this best practice into your team.
  • Thoughtfully identify future leaders of the business and grow talent on the team by developing the strengths of individuals for the next level of their careers and setting clear expectation.
  • Make a positive contribution to the Trade Desk company culture.

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience in developing, nurturing and managing long-standing, consultative client relationships.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth with large customer accounts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, strategic thinking and leadership skills to serve as a player-coach across a portfolio of key accounts, as well as build relationships with senior clients.
  • Extensive experience within the digital and programmatic industry in a client-focused role.
  • Understanding of the Australian market, and established relationships.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, executive team and industry groups.
  • Solid technical background, ideally with experience at an online publisher, agency, MarTech provider, SSP, DSP or other online advertising role.
  • Strong management and leadership skills through a collaborative team approach.
  • Sense of maturity and ability to see the larger picture when making internal and external decisions and coaching your team to do the same.
  • Proven track record of demonstrating confidence and good judgement in ambiguous situations and diffusing difficult situations.
  • Execute, and coach others to execute, in fast-paced environment through effective time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Ambition to develop personally and nurture the development of others.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
  • Exemplification of The Trade Desk culture and values, teaching others how to act with grit, humility, generosity and poise.
