Job Title: Enterprise Engineer I

Job Duties: Act as the primary administrator of the Atlassian Jira/Confluence environments by maintaining the existing features and workflows in the system as well as performing regular administration around changes, upgrades, issues and new releases. Responsible for any issues that arise during the use of Jira/Confluence or issues in the backend infrastructure of Jira/Confluence including handling any issue resolution ticket submitted by the end users or by other engineers to troubleshoot. Work closely with Network security team to proactively put processes and automation in place to identify and monitor any network security issues from Atlassian Jira/Confluence’s exposure to the network, as well as be responsible for monitoring any alerts, notifications and patches posted by Atlassian about vulnerabilities in Jira/Confluence and help fix them by implemented the patches. Responsible for recommending and implementing enhancements to the Atlassian Jira/Confluence environment that will improve the user experience, performance or operational efficiency of the system, as well as be responsible for working on any enhancements and features requested by end users to achieve the same. Act as the key Subject Matter Experts in the Atlassian Jira/Confluence stack and responsible training end users as well as other member of the team on Jira/Confluence’s user interface and inner workings. Responsible for performing all data / system backup processes and any disaster recovery procedures for the Atlassian Jira/Confluence stack, including restoring the Atlassian Jira/Confluence environment from its latest backup. Maintain server infrastructure that hosts the Atlassian Jira/Confluence environments in AWS and Azure Cloud using config as code and just-in-time access systems in accordance with DevOps/SRE best practices. Create custom workflows, behaviors, UX elements, validators, listeners, and scheduled jobs using a toolkit that includes Automation for Jira, Scriptrunner (Groovy scripts), JMWE, Refined for Jira, and Refined for Confluence. Work with stakeholders and end users to review their current business processes, understand their requirements and use cases, design updated processes and custom Jira/Confluence solutions to support those processes, and iterate over those processes with various business teams to ensure our various teams are using the Atlassian suite to its fullest potential.

Salary: $112,800 - $169,200/year

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Atlassian Server, Data Center Administration and Development; Custom Groovy scripting; enterprise software feature implementation project management; working directly with business teams to evaluate their current workflows with regards to productivity tools, including suggesting, planning, designing, and implementing improvements; and providing technical support and training to end users. Must have two (2) years of experience monitoring for published vulnerabilities in Atlassian software including coordinating mitigation efforts.

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions.
