What we do:

The Trade Desk (TTD) is seeking an Equity Program Manager to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for managing Global Compliance of TTD’s global equity programs and leading employee equity education efforts in over 20 countries and equity education to over 3,000 employees. This position will report to the Director, Stock Administration.

What you'll do:

  • Manage all global securities and tax filings, including managing deadlines and continuously improving templates for efficient handling
  • Partner effectively and proactively with internal business partners including Legal, Tax, Compliance, Human Resources, Accounting, Payroll and employees
  • Work with external Legal and Tax advisors to stay abreast of international developments and updates to requirements
  • Lead implementation of equity program administration in new countries and develop a framework to support equity programs
  • Manage employee equity program education, including developing and delivering onsite training in TTD’s global offices
  • Use excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead employee equity communications, including supporting employee understanding of equity awards and ESPP programs through the preparation of written materials, live and recorded webcasts, one-on-one employee meetings and videos
  • Be a true expert in the different types of equity vehicles and able to articulate these nuances in a professional, easy-to-understand format both written and verbally
  • Effectively and promptly respond and resolve employee equity inquiries and concerns
  • Assist with global mobility processing and compliance for equity transactions
  • Contribute new ideas to innovate and transform existing programs/processes and introduce new programs to enable a flexible, scalable and compliant global equity programs function
  • Learn other functional areas of the team and train other team members on your own responsibilities, to help you expand your skill set and grow in your career, while also helping to establish back-up support with the team

Who you are: 

  • Minimum of five years of stock administration experience. Ideally, including public company equity administration at a company with complex global equity programs
  • Solid understanding of equity administration function and experience with global securities and tax filings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and eye for details
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to our process improvements and innovation
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present in front of large groups
  • Active listening skills, including the ability to assess needs, change approach/delivery in real time, and communicate complex equity programs in simple terms
  • Ability and willingness to travel to deliver onsite training to employees
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, business-friendly team player with an ability to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • CEP designation preferred, or in process

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
