Job Title: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Location:  1114 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10110

Job Duties: Generate ad hoc reports distilling insights, summarizing key metrics and review with internal stakeholders. Manage communication of key metrics, business intelligence and updates to business leaders, salespeople, and internal team members, utilizing proprietary tools including Tableau, JIRA, HighSpot, Lighthouse, Anaplan, and Salesforce. Collaborate with sales team to negotiate with current and potential customers using financial information from business intelligence tools. Calculate and analyze Total Addressable Market by region and country and The Trade Desk’s market share. Analyze macroeconomic, industry and customer trends to forecast revenue. Analyze macro trends in NAMER, EMEA and APAC to assess their impact on revenue. Prepare executive presentations for senior leadership that summarizes key business trends and company performance. Generate statistically backed forecasts for the company’s gross programmatic ad spend. Create KPI and metrics to evaluate the company’s operational performance. Assemble budget and lead budget reviews with regional and country business leaders. Manage and mentor junior team of associate managers and analysts.

Salary: $163,238 - $225,200/year

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have eight (8) years of experience with: financial modeling and forecasting, including building detailed financial statements and forecasting key performance indicators for companies; accounting concepts including financial statement analysis, revenue recognition and profitability drivers; and presenting findings and writing reports for Senior Management and C-suite executives. Must have seven (7) years of experience with: Macroeconomic analysis to analyze top-down trends using proprietary and third-party data that could impact revenues and costs; statistical analysis; Project management and collaborating with different stakeholders across the company and working in cross-functional teams; and financial markets. Must have five (5) years of experience in the technology industry or in investment banking/equity research covering technology-oriented stocks. Must have two (2) years of experience with strategic planning and cost accounting. Must have one (1) year of experience with Anaplan and Tableau for contract tracking and creation of a holistic data base, as well as Excel including VBA, macros, pivot tables and dynamic sensitivity analyses. Must have finance experience including knowledge of financial markets, valuation frameworks, DCF analysis and benchmarking.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions.
