What you'll do:

As the Senior Data Partnerships Manager, you will work on highly impactful team focused on driving one of TTD’s top-most strategic initiatives in Japan.  Key responsibilities include active partner management, cross-functional collaboration to ensure partner adoption and success, and sales enablement to promote the partnership internally and with TTD clients. The ideal candidate must enjoy an entrepreneurial, competitive, and rapidly shifting environment. 

  • Manage existing relationships with 3rd party data providers  
  • Become an expert on data activations within The Trade Desk platform and offer insights to internal teams on developing coherent data driven advertising strategies.  
  • Support account teams in showcasing the power of data to prospective and existing clients.  
  • Develop standard methodologies within Data Partnerships, collaborate with Product Marketing to develop effective deal documentation, training collateral and customer facing guides.  
  • Perform industry research and analysis; remain abreast of trends and partner product/segment enhancements, and educate internal teams on the need-to-know with webinars, client support, and training documentation  
  • Drive an efficient relationship structure for partnerships in conjunction with partners plus Legal, Finance, and other team members  
  • Work with fellow data partnerships colleagues to help identify thoughtful, strategic partnership opportunities (based on company initiatives and account team feedback)  
  • Assist in monthly financial billing reconciliation & collaborate on billing process enhancements  
  • Assure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations  
  • Manage partnership deliverables including regular reports and ad hoc needs 

Who you are: 

  • Experience crafting and building differentiated relationships with strategic partners  
  • Self-motivated problem-solver comfortable wearing multiple and diverse hats  
  • Experience in data (within the adtech world is a plus) with consultative client experiences  
  • Proven communication, questioning and listening skills in formal and informal settings; consistent ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts in a simple, straightforward manner.  
  • Must be comfortable with complexity and thinking on multiple levels of abstraction; demonstrated use of critical thinking skills  
  • Comfort with dynamic working environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to be highly collaborative with various internal teams and external partners  
  • Solid experience with Excel and Powerpoint as analysis and presentation tools  
  • Must be comfortable working in a distributed / remote team environment as teammates are in many different regions 
  • Fluency in Japanese and English
