What we do:

The finance systems team implements and maintains system solutions for the accounting and finance organization at The Trade Desk.  Over the years, the Trade Desk accounting/finance organization has implemented Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud EPM, Kyriba, GetPaid, Incorta, Concur, Navan, Blackline, Anaplan, UiPath, Alteryx and Coupa systems.  We continue to implement, improve, and optimize system solutions across these different systems to drive more process efficiency and provide better business insights. As a member of the finance systems team, the solutions architect will partner with the global finance functional teams, identify and define automation and process improvement needs, and design and deliver systems solutions across various operational and reporting systems.

What you'll do:

  • Build a strong partnership with members of the accounting and finance functional team, and all other stakeholders
  • Communicate regularly to understand teams' goals, priorities, and pain points
  • Identify, advise, and document process improvement and automation requirements
  • Document current and to-be business/system processes and workflows
  • Propose different design solution options and facilitate design decisions with stakeholders
  • Create and document solution specifications
  • Execute on solution design plan and provide functional/technical deliverables
  • Align, and facilitate delivery of the technical solution components with specialized technical development teams
  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations, commitments, and timelines
  • Develop a solution test plan and perform QA testing
  • Provide level 2/3 systems support
  • Perform POC, prototype walkthroughs, and user training as needed
  • Perform regular checkups on system health to identify and fix recurring issues
  • For implemented SAAS applications, perform patch release analysis and implement new functionalities
  • Learn, research, and adopt new technologies and industry trends
  • Define and track key product/solution metrics

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Finance/Accounting, or Computer Science field preferred.
  • 5 + years of hands-on techno-functional experience in business/system analysis, solution design, system configuration and support.
  • As a functional lead, successfully implemented at least one ERP system implementation that included all financial modules: AP, AR, GL, FA, Consolidations etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (e.g., active listening, requirements elicitation, oral, written, presentation, group facilitation, consensus building)
  • Experiences of building and presenting complex technology solutions in a clear and concise manner to different types of stakeholders
  • Expert knowledge across different finance operational/analytical applications such as Oracle ERP, EPM, Anaplan, Kyriba, GetPaid, Incorta, Tableau etc.
  • Expert knowledge across different accounting/finance operational functions such as AP, AR, GL, FA, Consolidations, Payroll, Equity, Planning/Budgeting etc.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • SQL Knowledge to debug issues and support report development, integrations, and any other system issues
  • Experiences of building roadmaps, defining solution quality/productivity metrics and KPIs
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and security protocols related to enterprise application management
  • Experience managing consulting resources and vendor relationship
  • People management skills
  • Project management skills

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$102,400$187,700 USD
