WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
  • At least 5+ years’ experience in APAC Credit experience in managing business-to-business customers.
  • Ability to identify and assess risks of the company and industry, read and analyze financial statements and ratio analysis.
  • Skilled in evaluating credit reports, identifying potential risks, and making informed recommendations for credit limits or terms.
  • Deep understanding of complex financial structures, industry trends, and the ability to make high-level recommendations to support key business decisions.
  • Accounts Receivable and cash application knowledge/experience a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems and collection software, such as Oracle, GetPaid and Salesforce an advantage.
  • Experience with finance project participation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Excel (V-Lookups, pivot tables) required. 
  • Fluency in written and verbal communication in English is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and see tasks/projects through to completion, with the ability to adapt work schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and drive results whilst producing high-quality deliverables, thorough financial analysis and offering different solutions.
  • Effective communication of credit decisions to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Pivotal in shaping credit policies and risk management strategies within the organization.
  • Acute understanding of organizational processes and ability to make effective judgments when adopting global standards to local practices.
  • Willingness to embrace challenges and take on additional responsibilities to improve processes, reporting and procedures to support the business.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

We need a high-energy and hands-on individual to join the global credit and collections team as a Senior Credit Specialist. The ideal candidate will have the ability to independently manage the whole APAC credit portfolio, act as a good business partner and collaborate cross-functionally and cross-regionally with internal and external stakeholders. Other success factors for this role include experience in resolving problems in a fast-paced environment, strong analytical skills in evaluating competing priorities and interest in challenging the status quo. This is an individual contributor role  reporting to the Credit & Collections Manager, APAC.

  • Daily review of existing credit to ensure clients can spend within department risk assessments.
  • Analyze prospective clients using financial analysis techniques, including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow measurements as well as industry factors and trade references.
  • Determine alternate methods of credit analysis or risk mitigation steps when prospective clients do not meet minimum standards for approval.
  • Perform periodic credit analysis on existing clients through payment history and credit reports.
  • Write-up justification to include the findings and recommendation for exceptional credit approval from finance leadership.
  • Come up with different approaches to reach an agreement with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with cross-region and cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely support for our customers.
  • Understand the hard deadlines from the finance team and urgent credit review requests from the business team and be able to adapt the work schedule with flexibility and agility.
  • Team representative in various ongoing projects including GetPaid credit module and participate in Service now transition project.
  • Aide in developing and maintaining departmental training materials.
  • Establish training sessions for cross-functional departments to create efficiencies with teams interacting with credit.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting.
