Who We Are Looking For:

The Trade Desk is growing at a fast pace, and we are seeking a team member to join our Global People Relations team to deliver exceptional support to our global employees. People Operations strives, every day, to meet the needs of our employees by continuously developing and improving our strategy to deliver operational efficiency and a positive employee experience.

We are looking for a senior professional with a strong employee/labour relations and compliance background and experience with labour laws in APAC region.

You will be part of the global People Operations team reporting to the Director, People Relations based in Seattle. 

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Manage and ensure compliance with all employment law regulations, social relations and practices for countries in APAC where The Trade Desk (TTD) operates.
  • Proactively identify, manage and monitor risks and propose improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Interpret, communicate and maintain employee relations (ER) policies and processes.
  • Responsible for creating regional policies to include creating/updating regional APAC employee handbook including countries where TTD operates.
  • Effectively manage ER cases including investigations, disciplinary issues, grievances, interpersonal employee conflicts, performance management concerns, involuntary exits (including redundancies) and other employee-related matters to successful resolution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in the employee experience by building and facilitating people relations and compliance processes that emphasize fair, consistent, and respectful outcomes.
  • Lead and own the end-to-end resolution of complex employee relations issues.
  • Partner with Legal as needed to ensure policies and practices comply with applicable country and local laws and regulations.
  • Continue to refine and evolve regional guidelines and compliance repository.
  • Ensure required compliance and regulatory trainings are launched and tracked according to local requirements.

 

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; relevant master’s degree, or law degree a plus.
  • Experience working in employee/labour relations with solid, working knowledge of relevant best practices.
  • Several years of relevant experience working in ER/LR, HR or HR shared service function.
  • Strong ability to build trust, along with demonstrated ability to drive and lead results.
  • Stellar communication skills, conflict management and resolution skills with experience in delivering sensitive messaging of all types to a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Results driven ability with problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Openness to occasional travel as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work with all levels of the organization and across functional areas.
  • Agile and able to adapt as projects and priorities change and able to remain composed, positive, and gritty in the face of any setbacks or challenges.
  • Able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives and to discover solutions and build consensus.
  • Generous and open communication style.
