Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer

Location:  400 Spectrum Center Drive, Suite 550, Irvine, CA 92618

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from The Trade Desk. Inc. office in Irvine, CA.

Job Duties: Fix bugs in the TTD platform, analyze performance and make improvements to performance of software components in the TTD Platform. Design, develop, and modify software systems and build and use models used in predicting or measuring outcome of designs. Participate in costing, designing, and specifying requirements of features and new functionalities requested by clients. Participate in discussions with other engineers, product managers, and internal stakeholders to design the system and understand project requirements and limitations. Collect, store, change, and analyze data to make data driven decisions on how to build requirements. Participate in designing and building testing and validation tools for the component built. Participate in defining and measuring system KPIs. Participate in deploying software components and participate in building and/or using monitoring systems for running software components. Participate in discussions with internal customers on software system requirements, design, and maintenance.

Salary: $165,200 - $247,800/year

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: high QPS, distributed or multithreaded systems; the following programming languages: C#, SQL, and Scala; software development code editors, including Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Rider, and version control systems, including Git; and collaborating directly with Product Managers and Business team members to design and develop software solutions. Must have two (2) years of experience with: data engineering jobs using Spark and EMR; and developing web services.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$165,200$247,800 USD
