What you’ll do:

  • Take responsibility for all tax matters covering, but not limited to, corporation tax, indirect taxes (GST/VAT etc.), transfer pricing, withholding taxes, digital services tax DST/BEPS, DAC6, employment taxes including taxation of equity awards and expatriate tax;
  • Take ownership of the non-US element of the quarterly group tax provision, reporting to the US head office and determining tax to GAAP adjustments;
  • Oversee the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings by in-country advisors, reviewing and providing approval for submission to the tax authorities in all jurisdictions;
  • Hands on participation in tax audits, ensuring local advisors have the information required to support and respond to in-country tax authorities as and when required;
  • Review and document all international tax filing requirements and assess changes to tax legislation that impact our business in the countries we operate in;
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure tax clauses in client contracts are appropriate for our business;
  • Establish and maintain a Tax Risk Register; 
  • Participation in other ad-hoc tax projects as required;

Who you are:

  • A practice trained CTA, preferably from an audit firm, in house experience is a plus.
  • You will be a hands-on tax professional with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment as well as the desire to contribute to a hardworking team dynamic;
  • You will have worked in an international role and you have developed a deep expertise in global tax, across multiple tax jurisdictions;
  • Experience working for a US headquartered listed technology business would be advantageous;
  • Very good understanding of tax accounting and reporting, and statutory and regulatory framework under IFRS and/or FRS 101 and 102
  • Able to work in a highly effective manner with a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver exceptional, high-quality results;
  • Self-motivated, personable, and approachable with a hands-on and can-do attitude with no place for egos;
  • Must be available during early and late business hours to accommodate global time zones;
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to liaise across multiple international locations;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the capacity to build positive working relationships across the finance function, within different teams and at every level in the organization;
  • Able to travel as required
