The Twilio Contacts Team is looking for a passionate Software Engineer who is excited at the opportunity to join a world-class Contacts Platform and solve some of the hardest engineering problems at Twilio. The centralized Contacts Platform is tasked to take the future of communications to a significantly powerful next level by strengthening the contacts inventory.

Who?

Twilio is looking for Sr. Software Engineer (Backend) who lives the Twilio Magic and has:

• Experience in two or more of the following languages:  C, C++, Go, Java, C#, Perl, or Python
• Experience in building software, tests, code review etc.
• Experience building APIs and data delivery mechanisms for applications such as web dashboards, alerting & health systems, mobile applications, and third party integrations
• Experience working on AWS stack (Terraform, EC2, RDS, SQS, Route 53, S3, Kinesis etc)  and IaaS 
• Experience with relational, non-relational, and time-series data stores
• Experience in database development (relational or NoSql)
• Ability to design and manage CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, Buildkite etc.)
• Advanced ability to craft clear and concise documentation

• Help building Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery on managed AWS services
• Develop monitoring & alerting solutions that keeps our system’s health in check
• Internalize the set of good habits (Development techniques, Test Driven Development, Security, Tech debt balance, Agile discipline etc.) that drives high-end engineering excellence
