Join the team as Twilio’s next Senior Software Engineer (L3)

About the Role

This position is needed to enable Segment customers to instrument high-quality, first-party data from their mobile apps, which drives their Analytics, Customer Engagement & overall decision making.

Segment is Twilio’s Customer Data Platform (CDP) which standardizes and streamlines data infrastructure for Twilio customers. From startups to the Fortune 100, businesses of all sizes rely on the Segment Platform to collect data once, and then deliver across Segment’s catalog of hundreds of business integrations and thousands of customer data warehouses.

Instrumentation - of web, mobile and server apps - is the most common gateway to getting this data into Segment. The Data Collection team builds software that brings more than 700BN events/month at greater than 1 Million requests per second into Segment’s cloud infrastructure.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Collection team, you’ll primarily be responsible for our Analytics SDK on the React-Native mobile platform. You’ll focus on maintaining and improving our existing SDK, analytics-react-native (and its catalog of integrations), as well as building out new technologies for future Segment features.

  • Collaborate with product owners and engineers across Segment to create new experiences for our customers, while maintaining consistency across our service offerings
