Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Software Engineer(L3)  who will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering leaders to define, architect and build new customer-facing voice features. This engineer will own, operate and maintain their teams’ services in a distributed production environment, employing Agile methodologies to continuously deliver value to customers.

Who?

Twilio is looking for an engineer with a demonstrated track record of building distributed systems:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a large scale, distributed applications environment, based on JVM based technologies or .Net
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in at least one language, web stack and framework
  • Hands on experience scaling production backend systems, with the proven ability to design and develop horizontally-scalable, resilient and performing-under-load systems
  • Experience scaling data tiers employing a variety of SQL/NoSQL database and caching technologies
  • Hands on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, OpenStack or Azure
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals not limited to data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems
  • Able to work well in a team setting and both highly motivated and motivating

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well. 

Salary:

Denver/Boulder Metro:

$109,824 - $151,008

Rest of Colorado:

$96,096 - $132,132

Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
