ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Product Manager to help grow the customer experience, segmentation, analytics, and profitability associated with Varo’s Savings and Elevated Savings Program.

The Varo Savings Account allows Varo customers to save their hard earned money with assistance from features such as Save Your Change and Save Your Pay. The Varo Savings Account is the gateway to driving acquisition and deepening engagement with our customer base, as our customers often have ambitious savings goals they’d like to achieve by partnering with Varo as their primary bank. 

Given the program’s importance to the customer and the company, it’s vital that we continue to pursue ways to make the Savings Account, and the experiences surrounding it, a source of customer delight while optimizing commercial profitability. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Be part of the Retail Banking team that manages and develops new customer facing features that can showcase the benefits of being both a fintech and a licensed bank 
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, data science, marketing, operations, finance, and risk to design and build solutions for the most critical customer and organizational problems
  • Manage product and feature launches with stakeholders across the business to ensure your features land seamlessly with customers and colleagues 
  • Roll up your sleeves to remove barriers and obstacles hindering the team's ability to ship or pull your own data for an analysis that helps prioritize the right feature
  • Manage the profitability and overall performance for your features, ensuring that your product meets or beats your targets

  • Delivered solutions to customer problems that have driven tangible impacts to customers’ lives and to company profitability
  • Strong execution capability and ability to wear multiple hats to drive work to completion
  • Ability to influence and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders of all backgrounds and levels
  • A strong technical and analytical mindset with an ability and interest to mine and manipulate data
  • You are detail-oriented with great organizational skills
  • You approach problems and products with an “owner’s mentality”
  • You have 3+ years of experience as a product manager
