EU T&D facilitates “transportation as a service” for the Wayfair Supply Chain in Europe, while also collaborating with our North American counterparts on a Global Supply Chain technology roadmap. The team is directly responsible for, but not limited to, the planning of required transportation capacity with our 3rd party and asset based carriers and the design of network expansion roadmaps for net new capabilities or transportation service needs within Wayfair. The team facilitates the carrier relationships, while managing the performance of the network leveraging data as our thermostat for cost, speed, quality of movement of orders.
What You'll Do
- Cultivating and strengthening relationships with internal and external partners and vendors
- Testing new innovative ideas and analyzing trends
- Automating current processes in our end to end truck planning process
- Collaborating with stakeholders to implement process changes
- Using creative strategy and data to communicate efficiently
- Developing strategies for priority initiatives and lead implementations
- Writing scripts with Google big query and building reports with data studio to analyze and optimize performance
What You'll Need
- Fluency in English
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills and a desire to improve processes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with google sheets and experience with SQL or google big query (Experience with Python or R would also be an advantage)
- Enthusiastic, with proven ability to quickly get up to speed
