Who We Are

Our Outdoor Germany Category Management team works with suppliers that span from family-run businesses with a couple of employees to multinational brands with billions in revenue. Outdoor is one of the most seasonal categories with very high-powered dynamics. Most of our suppliers make business in the “warm” months of the year, while tackling strategic, logistical and availability topics in off-season months. Our team works alongside those suppliers to enable our customers an exciting product range, its constant availability, on time delivery and the best prices. We are looking for a hands-on and driven, entrepreneurial leader to help us drive the strategy for Outdoor Furniture within our vertical. The ideal candidate has a track record of hiring and developing a team and effectively driving results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing (preferably retail) environment.

What You'll Do

  • Build strong relationships with existing branded suppliers and execute negotiations to secure best pricing and promotional opportunities
  • Analyze data to strategize profit growth opportunities for the category and for your supplier base
  • Advance catalog expansion: identify selection gaps and prioritize new product assortment based on an in depth market understanding
  • Identify sales, merchandising, and operational opportunities for your supplier base and the category and collaborate with internal teams to drive change (Promotions, PR, Pricing, Competitive Intelligence, Merchandising, Operations)
  • Develop a deep market understanding of your category by analyzing main competitors, suppliers and customer behavior in Germany and in the UK
  • Attend main trade shows and conduct supplier visits (4-8 times per year) in Germany and in the UK

What You'll Need

  • Undergraduate degree in business studies or a related field; additional qualifications are advantageous
  • Fluency in German and English with articulate and persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Previous experience working within an account management, business development, consulting or analytical business role
  • A track record of successful negotiation and relationship management with internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Analytical mindset and data-driven approach; demonstrated experience working with data to develop recommendations
  • Relentless problem-solver approach with the demonstrated ability to dissect and determine root causes of problems and implement solutions
  • A personable, proactive and passionate contributor, eager to progress professionally and motivated to independently drive business growth
  • A proven ability to thrive as part of a team and also to work autonomously
