Who We Are

The  EU Brand Management team owns the translation of Wayfair’s global brand strategy into current and future European markets, ensuring brand integrity across all marketing initiatives and communications by deeply understanding the EU consumer, the competitive landscape and the core brand offering. We are looking for an intern to join the team for 6 months starting in November.

Specifically, our team is in charge of: 

  • Gaining a deep understanding of our EU customers and the cultural nuances that are important to consider between all our Wayfair geographies.  
  • Identifying priority brand messages and focus categories for our EU markets based on past learnings, available data and changing business priorities. 
  • Overseeing the planning and execution of the brand messaging strategy across geographies, ranging from the creation of  omni-channel Campaign briefs to conducting thorough performance analyses, sharing findings with relevant teams.  
  • Devising testing plans and synthesising qualitative data from consumer insights to inform and optimise customer-facing content such as future TV productions, Social Media,  Homepage and sharing best practices with the wider EU Brand team. 
  • Working cross-functionally with teams such as Creative, Consumer Insights and Marketing to bring brand projects to life, ensuring brand integrity across all everyday marketing initiatives. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Actively support the Brand Management team in conducting and reviewing data collected through regular consumer insight studies. Synthesise and structure learnings in order to inform future everyday messaging priorities and testing strategies. 
  • Utilize Wayfair’s internal reporting tools to provide regular customer orientated data insights for UK and DE customers to share with the stakeholder team. 
  • Keep a structured pulse on the competitive landscape and support the wider team with highlighting any emerging trends both onsite and offline, proactively suggesting ideas and opportunities.
  • Support with the finalisation of Creative briefs by gathering relevant inputs, overseeing timelines and submitting briefs according to due dates.   
  • Support in the coordination and completion of new brand projects in line with changing business priorities.  

What You'll Need

  • Fluent in English & German (C1 level or above for both languages)
  • Previous experience or an educational background in the field of Marketing, Brand, or Consumer insights
  • Collaborative personality, excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills and a desire to improve processes
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in Interior Design, Trends and Campaigns are a strong plus 
  • Proficient with Excel and G Suite. 
  • Enthusiastic, with proven ability to hit the ground running and handle ambiguity.
