Who We Are

The Physical Retail Engineering team at Wayfair is laying the foundation for Wayfair’s entry into physical retail. We believe our success online should be complemented with a fantastic store experience, and we are assembling the team now to make that happen. 

You will lead the engineering team that builds our global inventory platform for physical retail. We have the unique opportunity to build inventory from the ground up to blend our physical and digital channels together across our global business. You and your team will partner with our supply chain and product 

teams to make this vision a reality, preparing Wayfair to continue its global growth plans across multiple channels, and delivering great customer and associate experiences. 

Also, as an early joiner on our team, you will have an enormous impact on the trajectory of our technology and business capabilities. 

What You'll Do 

* Lead the software engineering team that delivers inventory management for physical retail * Dive deep into the features, platform and roadmap we need to realize our ambitions * Partner with product, business and design to land the right features at the right time * Partner with the broader inventory platform team to maintain a single global platform for inventory across all formats 

* Hire, mentor and develop the next generation of engineers and leaders in a growing organization * Build for scale and operational excellence with world class engineering practices * Set the tone for your team by creating a highly effective, collaborative culture that celebrates wins and isn’t afraid to learn from mistakes 

What You'll Need 

* A track record delivering strong technical and business outcomes with your strong business and technical acumen 

* Experience hiring and mentoring engineers at multiple career levels across the full stack * Experience designing, building and maintain systems at scale 

* B.S. or equivalent experience in computer science/related field
