Warehouse Associate

Shift Options

  • Sunday - Wednesday 6:00am - 4:30pm
  • Wednesday - Saturday 6:00am - 4:30pm

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and operate battery changing station including removal and replacement of lift batteries (at applicable sites)
  • Operates floor sweeper / scrubber to maintain facility floor
  • General building maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry and painting
  • Dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established OSHA and Wayfair safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct daily/weekly preventative maintenance and completes daily log sheet
  • Perform pre-operation checklist and verify all safety devices are functional at all times
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Complete work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed by Manager/Supervisor
  • Maintain a good attendance record

What You'll Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic carpentry and maintenance experience including carpentry, painting, plumbing
  • Experience safely using warehouse equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts and aerial lifts
  • Proficient using hand and power tools and computers to perform required duties
  • Previous battery charger/changer experience is a plus
  • Must be flexible on working hours and willing to work scheduled & unscheduled overtime
  • Ability to regularly bend, lift, stretch, crawl and reach, engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists and stand and walk for long periods
  • Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to access all areas of the building by climbing ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment that can be noisy and unlit
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team and take direction
  • Must be a safety conscious, motivated, detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude
