We are seeking an Associate to support the growing needs of our EU Supplier Inventory Management(SIM) team. This team will look to use information and analysis to drive an inventory strategy built in-partnership with suppliers - all with the goal of driving strong turns, high availability, and good forward positioning. We do this through strategic account management and a structured sales environment. We create specific solutions for our supplier portfolio with the goal of launching and scaling their business with Wayfair EU.

What You’ll Do:

  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure follow-through on replenishment orders and inventory commitments and to develop sustainable, long-term strategies to grow the business
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize sales, turns, in-stock rates, and network balance
  • Monitor key performance indicators and drive corrective action
  • Manage efficient inbound inventory flows and health, including forecasting, purchasing, and removing aged inventory
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and build advanced reporting using SQL and Excel to drive decisions
  • Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams including Analytics, Category Management and Forecasting
  • Produce valuable data analytics to evaluate supplier performance to help drive key business decisions and future planning.

What You’ll Have:

  • Experience in operations, retail, engineering, consulting, strategy or finance is preferred 
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel required
  • Proficiency with SQL (or a system of equal complexity) is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Proactive in your approach and have an eagerness to learn and have a strong team focus.
